100 km du PERCHE       -        24 hour walk    -

For several years now, Patrice Bouhours, cabinet-maker from Trizay-Coutretot-Saint-Serge and well known for his 100 kilometre walks, has wanted to organise a festive sporting event in the exceptional French region of the Perche Eure et Loir.

There were two reasons for this:First to honour the impressive achievements of local race walking champion, Gilbert Roger, born in the town of Frazé: several times winner of the famous Paris-Strasbourg race-walk, as well as world record holder of the 24h race-walk.But also so that amateur hikers and walkers of all levels could discover the hills, the forests, the manors, the chateaus, the charming villages and all the cultural, natural beauty and hospitality of the Perche Eure et Loir region.

And we have good news for all hikers, this event will be held in 2010!

Thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers working with Patrice Bouhours, the local events committee, as well as the enthusiasm of the villages at each stop along this walk and the support of the  Fédération Française de Randonnée Pédestre  ( French Hiking Federation)  the 100 km du Perche will take place

TEST 2020 CANCELED

This is a non-competitive walk, open to experienced or occasional hikers, licensed or not.Several circuits and distances will be proposed along the hiking trails of the Perche:100, 50 or 25 km , all beginning and ending in Trizay- Coutretot –Saint-Serge.Of course, everything will be done by the organisers and at each village stop to make sure that the participants in this 24 hour walk can safely take full advantage, each at his/her own pace, of the pleasure of hiking through the exceptional countryside, in a festive and convivial
atmosphere.
